The selected
**Pastoral Support Assistant** should be a reliable practitioner who will support students and staff in establishing safe and effective learning environments for all pupils. Working as a front line member of the pastoral team you will need to have the skills and resilience to support students who may be experiencing difficulties in accessing their learning. With careful assessment and planning, you’ll create a positive learning environment where every young person can thrive.

**Pastoral Support Assistant**, you will be required to:

- Establish positive and secure relationships with students and help develop their trust and belief

- Encourage all students to learn and motivate them to reach their maximum potential
- Ensure high attendance, outstanding student behaviour and engagement, and high levels of achievement
- Work as part of a team, challenging and supporting the progress of students
