Workshop Supervisor

**Role Title: Workshop Technician Manager**

We also have over 2000 new and used motorbikes in our Macclesfield & Donington Park show rooms at any one time, and we are open daily for customers old and new to come and marvel at the number and selection of bikes we have in store.

Backed by one of the most successful private equity houses in Europe, the business is now embarking on its next phase of growth, currently employing over 300 people. We opened our second 'Super-Site' at Donnington Park racetrack in 2021 and are planning two additional site openings this year, in addition to a recent acquisition.

**Responsibilities**:
To support the Workshop Manager and Assistant Worshop Manager, offering technical support to techs where and when required. Carry out QC checks on techs work.
Maintain workshop efficiency to a high level
Maintain good communication and working relationships within the department and other departments within the business.
Ensure all current Health & Safety guidelines are adhered to and the workshop operates within current legislation.

**Core accountabilities**
On the job support for Technicians, ensuring their work is at an acceptable standard
Maintain, record and account for technician efficiency
Ensure the training, development and wellbeing needs of the team are being met
Maintain quality and safety standards
Maintain communicated business uniform and PPE standards within the team
Ensure business COVID policy and health and safety standards are met. Address or report any concerns immediately
Manage day to day cleanliness of the workshop and back of house
Ensures consumable stock levels are maintained via Parts team
Collates daily stats
To devise solutions to technical challenges within the workshop

**KPIs**
Deliver minimum required volume for internal PDI conversion and exit PDI completion
Accuracy of internal PDI
Exit PDI pass rate
Accuracy of parts requests
Workshop repair volumes meet daily requirements

**Physical Demands/Environment**
Working from the workshop at Donington, you could also be travelling to other sites in the business when needed
Have full motorbike licence and own transport
Manual motorbike movement through site and on/off ramps
Quality checking of mechanical work carried out to ensure standards are achieved

This role reports directly into the Workshop Manager/Assistant W/S Manager
At Donington there are 11 direct reports, these are;
15 x Technicians

Qualifications, Technical Skills, Experience
Full motorbike licence
Experience at similar level in motor industry and/or:
City and Guilds Motor Vehicle Level 3, or
IMI Master technician
High level of motorbike specific mechanical knowledge
Excellent time management skills
Strong communication skills, able to relate to people on all levels
Thrives under pressure, used to exceeding targets and meeting deadlines
Ability to think on your feet and re-strategize workload according to business needs
Willingness to be flexible with working patterns, in line with the business needs
