Manufacturing Engineer

We're looking for a **Manufacturing Engineer** to join our Operations Team.

The main functions of the **ManufacturingEngineer** role will be to verify and produce manufacturing packages, act as a vital link between purchasing, production teams and design engineering both on site and in other locations;as well as help to drive continuous improvement, efficiency and quality improvements.

As a **ManufacturingEngineer** we're looking for someone with a high degree of creativity, problem solving, judgement, and communications skills. As well as someone who is comfortable taking accountability and initiative, whenrequired, to investigate cost improvement opportunities and collaborate with other functions for necessary resources to implement initiatives.

There is also a requirement for our **ManufacturingEngineer**to be:

- Responsible for supporting the quality drive, providing solutions through process improvements using CI techniques / tools.
- Provide operations the required support and guidance.
- Perform piece-part or assembly cost estimates as required for evaluation of competitive supplier bids, standard product design changes, 'special' order requirements, or changes in manufacturing and installation methods.
- Perform cost and technical evaluations and make recommendations on improvements in manufacturing and field installation methods and/or procedures.
- Investigate and resolve variances from cost estimating too actual.
- Implement processes, methods, and procedures as required to resolve product issues of poor functionality, quality, or reliability.
- High level of experience in process planning

Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a Manufacturing / Fabrication sector.

Must indicate demonstrated effectiveness in:

- Knowledge in BOM structuring in Manufacturing (Fabrication, Mechanical & Electrical preferred but not essential)
- Good level finance & business acumen
- Strong Systems Knowledge (ERP background)
- High Level of Excel expertise
- Evaluating costs of manufacturing methods and processes both with material and labour.
- Production implementation of new methods, procedures, or products.
- Identifying and implementing cost containment or cost improvement initiatives.
- Experience with CAD systems: Auto-Cad, Pro-E, Inventor, Solid Works etc.
