The Opportunity
This is an excellent early-career opportunity to join a
fast-growing life sciences manufacturer
developing
next-generation diagnostic technologies
used in community and home healthcare settings.
You'll work in a
hands-on manufacturing and process engineering role
, supporting the transition of innovative products from development into full-scale production. This role offers outstanding exposure to
regulated manufacturing, process optimisation and quality-driven operations
within a dynamic scale-up environment.
It is ideally suited to a
graduate with industry experience or junior engineer/technician
looking to build a strong technical foundation in
medical devices, diagnostics or regulated manufacturing
.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting and monitoring
manufacturing processes
for diagnostic products. - Collecting and analysing
process data
to improve yield, quality and efficiency. - Assisting with the development and maintenance of
SOPs, batch records and work instructions
. - Supporting
process validation, equipment qualification and environmental monitoring
activities. - Helping with
scale-up and technology transfer
from R&D into routine manufacture. - Investigating simple deviations and supporting
corrective actions
. - Training alongside experienced engineers and operators to learn
GMP-compliant production
. - Carrying out
basic equipment checks, calibration and troubleshooting
.
About You
- Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent in
Manufacturing, Mechanical, Chemical, Biomedical, Life Sciences or related discipline
. - Industrial placement, internship, apprenticeship or early-career experience in
manufacturing, laboratories or production environments
is advantageous. - Strong interest in
how products are made, scaled and controlled
in regulated industries. - Good attention to detail and a structured, methodical approach to work.
- Comfortable working with
data, procedures and technical instructions
. - Keen to learn, develop and grow within a
high-pace scale-up environment
.
Desirable Exposure (Not Essential)
- GMP, ISO or regulated manufacturing environments.
- Basic understanding of
process validation or quality systems
. - Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement or Six Sigma principles.
