The School

Founded in, St Christopher School is an independent day and boarding school for girls and boys aged
- We have pupils and teaching and support staff. We have no school uniform and everyone is called

The Role

We are seeking to appoint a Temporary Food Service Assistant, working on a part-time basis to provide
Sunday cover - and - up to a total of hours per week. Term time only.

Reporting directly to the House Service Manager, you will be working as part of a team in a busy kitchen
assisting in the Sunday running of the catering area. Along with the kitchen management team complying
with all hygiene and health and safety programmes and regulations.

Duties

Report House Services Manager to start work for..

When arriving at work, set up ready for breakfast service and check with the Chef / Cook the numbers
we are catering for as required.

Adhere to all food and safety regulations.

Weekend duties to include:
Washing up after service
Cleaning down servery and sanitise all areas ready for next service
To complete any tasks instructed by the Chef / Cook or House Services Manager
You will need to be flexible and be able to assist the Chef / Cook in the kitchen with any other cleaning

duties required.
Floor must be swept and mopped in the wash-up area.

Hours of work

Part-time, split shift: Sunday - and -. This role is term-time only: Temporary basis to
cover absence.

Holidays

Pro rata of the full time equivalent of days per annum plus bank holidays. As this is a term time only
post, holiday pay is incorporated into the annual salary, meaning that no holiday is available during term
- time but the post holder will be entitled to all school holidays off. At St Chris, we operate a week academic
year which entitles the post holder to the remaining weeks off.

Salary
