WGM Engineering have an excellent opportunity for two Civils Operatives to join our Engineering solutions team on a permanent basis, this role will be site based and cover various locations across the central belt of Scotland. Operatives are responsible for ensuring that site works are carried out efficiently in adherence to the required standards whilst adhering to company Health & Safety legislation.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Operate and carry out job set tasks as instructed
- Adhere to both internal and client Health & Safety legislation
- Communicate with Site Management to ensure job is completed to desired specification
- Be competent in the use of small tools and driven plant holding the correct certification to complete the works
- Using hand machinery: drills, pumps and compressors
- Complete appropriate paperwork for your daily works (job sheets / risk assessments / plant sheets / van sheets)
- Ensure you are briefed on RAMS for each job
- Experience of risk assessment and hazard identification and a strong focus on health and safety requirements and responsibilities.
- Feedback near miss or safety issues to Ganger
- To be responsible for the company assets & plant assigned to you for the purpose of performing your duties.
- To treat internal and external customers with respect and provide support at all times.
- Ensure all works are carried out to required industry standards
- Be able to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external clients.
- Maintain company HSEQ standards to ensure continued compliance with legislation and industry standards
- Digging shallow holes and trenches by hand, although you would use an earth-moving machine for the main excavation
- Mixing and pouring concrete to make foundations, beams or floors
- Cleaning and maintaining tools and other equipment
- Attend all tool box talks as required
- Expected to train to Competent Person (CP) level in relation to Electrical Safety Rules (ESR) and Isolation Safety Rules (ISR) where appropriate to the role

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £14.50 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Livingston: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Dumper: 1 year (preferred)
- Excavator: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
- CPCS (preferred)

Work Location: On the road
