If you’re looking to take the next step in your finance career, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join us on a permanent basis.

You’ll be reporting directly into the Head of Finance and responsible for supporting the Brakes Independent Sales Division. This role will provide a first point of contact service for the sales teams and management for any finance related matters and support them with driving and delivering results, including financial evaluations for new business tenders and ongoing retentions. Expect to heavily partner and support the department by providing insight across multiple projects and guidance to improve performance which will drive sales and margin.

We are offering a hybrid working contract with most of your time spent working from home. However, you will be required to attend the office weekly which is located in Ashford, Kent, so you must be comfortable and flexible with the commute.

Key Accountabilities
- Analysis & monitoring of the division’s key performance indicators; sales, profitability ratios, and investigating variances to budget or year on year movements
- Developing of models to provide insight on key metrics. Working with the sales team to ensure the reports provide required detail & then managing the subsequent hand over to Sales Ops. Ensuring on-going accuracy of reporting
- Expected to work along sales to produce a compelling commercial proposition for Brakes customers.
- Provide insight into projects to include initial evaluation, feedback and ongoing success tracking
- Liaise with managers to rigorously challenge and question their plan assumptions and KPIs on an on-going basis
- Production of weekly trading deck

Ideally, you’ll be a recently qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) currently operating as a Finance Business Partner, Management Account or Finance Analyst, looking to join a global organisation as part of your career development.

We are looking for someone who has the confidence to deal with stakeholders at all levels across the business and to challenge decisions in a constructive way, offering solutions to any problems, always ensuring the best outcome is achieved. Using your finance knowledge and experience you will provide a vital service and partner closely with the team on risk and continuous improvement, so you must be able to hold a strong conversation with sound analytical insight. The ability to understand trends and results with a high level of competency in financial analysis and modelling is essential. An advanced level of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is also required. Any working knowledge of SAP is advantageous.
