The post holder will be working as part of a team focused on supporting the Strategic, Tactical and Operational needs of the team.

Working on a full rotating shift basis the post holder will be responsible
for assisting the team in optimising capacity, response, in day issues, escalation and resolution of matters and collating data and formulating reports for the duty tactical commander and people and vehicle support hub manager
- Assist the People and Vehicle Support Manager and the tactical

commander in the smooth running of the Tactical Cell, undertaking
tasks where necessary to facilitate achieving optimal Resource cover
across the area.
- Undertake tasks and actions as directed by the Tactical Commander
- To support meetings and conference calls through minute taking and

preparing reports to a high standard ready for dissemination to senior
trust managers and external stakeholders.
- Receive information and communication from a wide variety of senior

managers and staff. Escalating issues to the duty tactical commander.
- Coordinate effective handover at shift change times with a particular

focus on reducing late finishes
- Support the team as required in the event of any significant or major

incident
- To maintain, utilise and update any of the databases used for the purposes of the Tactical Cell and develop and maintain electronic databases for audit and monitoring. Participate in ongoing service quality review.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the tactical operations centre. The successful applicant will join a small but dedicated and effective team within the tactical operations centre and will assist the Duty tactical Commander and People and Vehicle Support Manager in maintaining all aspects of service delivery.

Identify shortfalls in operational staffing, liaise with EOC and planning
staff to best utilise available resources to achieve optimum efficiency.

Using own judgement and initiative, prioritise workload to achieve
optimum staffing

Assist the People and Vehicle Support Manager and the tactical
commander in the smooth running of the Tactical Cell, undertaking
tasks where necessary to facilitate achieving optimal Resource cover
across the area.

Be the main point of contact between in day production activities with
vehicle resourcing, people resourcing and the providers of services to
staff,

Undertake tasks and actions as directed by the Tactical Commander

Receive and record staffing information and where necessary ensure
the allocation of staff who have the relevant skill levels needed to
undertake the roles and responsibilities required

To deal effectively with conflicting situations when decisions are

**Be proficient in the use of Microsoft packages i.e.**: Word, Outlook and
Excel etc and regularly use a computer to produce reports, record
documentation and monitor daily activity within EOC.

Able to effectively review and interperate data as well as proficient
data entry capability.

To support meetings and conference calls through minute taking and
preparing reports to a high standard ready for dissemination to senior
trust managers and external stakeholders.

Receive information and communication from a wide varity of senior
managers and staff. Escalating issues to the duty tactical commander.

Maintain accurate records of vehicles with their call signs and place on
appropriate database, any extra vehicles.

To be able to utilise and interrogate EEAST CAD system to retieve
information for which decisions can be based on.

Coordinate effective handover at shift change times with a particular
focus on reducing late finishes

Monitor rest break compliance.

Ensure adherence to service policies and procedures.

Support the team as required in the event of any significant or major
incident

Update, maintain and utilise the Trust Major Incident call out page.

To undertake all duties within the Tactical Cell as laid out in the daily
procedures policy to ensure that performance standards are achieved.

To maintain, utilise and update any of the databases used for the purposes of the Tactical Cell and develop and maintain electronic databases for audit and monitoring. Participate in ongoing service quality review.

To assist in the training of other colleagues where appropriate.

Utilise communication mediums including phones and digital radios
through EEAST ICCS systems to speak with operational crews and
managers to clearly pass and receive information sometimes during
pressured situations.

Be responsible for maintaining professional and personal development
and ensure up to date knowledge of all systems, policies and
procedures and changes to service provision.

Report and support the management of Hospital closures and diverts.
Monitoring build-up of resources at Hospital sites across the area,
identify causes and ensuring local management teams are deployed
where possible to assist in avoiding excessive delays of vehicles at
