Severn Transport Services are an award winning palletised freight distribution company based in Welshpool, Powys, we are shareholder members of the Pallex & Fortec Distribution Networks.

We are currently looking to recruit a **Transport Coordinator** (Collections Desk) to join our friendly team - Monday to Friday 09.00 until 18.00.
- Experience working in the transport sector
- Excellent communication skills

- Excellent telephone manner
- The ability to work within a fast paced team
- The ability to work on your own initiative
- Computer literate (Excel - Word)
- Training supplied on our Transport Management Systems.
- Counterbalance FLT & Class 2 Licence
- Pallet Network experience would be an advantage but not essential
- Excellent opportunity for progressing within the business
- National and local geographical knowledge are advantageous for this role

Duties include:

- Data Inputting
- Planning customer collections.
- Monitor customer collections, passing collections to drivers and ensuring all collections are completed, ensuring collections are entered to the system
- Printing, collating and issuing pallet labels
- Scanning, Labelling, planning and manifesting of pallets for national onward transportation via the Pallet Networks.
- Collating and uploading customer paperwork
- Sorting of customer data
- Liaising with other member depots around the UK
- Providing customers with support booking in deliveries and collections
- Dealing with customer service calls and network member queries
- Tracking consignments
- Providing ETA’s
- Pricing jobs on the system
- Managing shipment process for Irish consignments (Southern and Northern) ensuring customs paperwork is collated and passed to relevant parties for clearance and ongoing shipment.
- Assisting and covering admin duties of the department when needed
- Assisting drivers with any delivery or collection issues
- Supporting the wider team with any miscellaneous duties when necessary which may include occasional loading / unloading & driving duties.
- Follow company procedures to maintain service excellence
