Position Summary The Transport Coordinator is responsible for organising and scheduling freight and transport runs to support efficient and timely delivery and collection of equipment across branch locations and customer sites. This role involves quoting transport jobs, preparing run sheets, coordinating driver rosters, and maintaining accurate driver records and timesheets. The Transport Coordinator works closely with internal stakeholders, subcontractors, and drivers to ensure a high standard of service and compliance. The role also provides minor assistance with parts ordering and basic support in maintenance scheduling, where required. Key Responsibilities Transport Scheduling & Coordination Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily transport runs for internal drivers and subcontractors. Prepare and distribute run sheets to drivers, ensuring clarity and timeliness. Coordinate driver rosters, manage shift changes, and maintain a centralised schedule. Monitor job progress, proactively resolving delays or issues. Quoting & Job Planning Prepare and issue transport quotes based on job requirements, locations, and fleet availability. Liaise with the hire desk and operations teams to ensure accurate job scoping. Confirm and communicate bookings with clients and subcontractors. Driver & Transport Administration Collate and review driver timesheets and logbooks, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Maintain up-to-date records for driver licences, inductions, and fatigue management compliance. Support the onboarding of new drivers and subcontractors with relevant documentation. Support & Maintenance Assistance Assist the Asset Manager with basic service scheduling and maintenance reminders for the transport fleet, as required. Order minor transport-related parts in coordination with procurement. Skills & Experience Required Proven experience in transport coordination, dispatch, or logistics administration. Knowledge of WA transport routes, fatigue management laws, and basic load restraint practices. Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities. Excellent communication skills for internal coordination and external customer service. Intermediate computer skills, especially in transport software, MS Excel, and scheduling tools. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced environment. Desirable Qualifications Experience in plant, equipment, or vehicle hire industries. Familiarity with transport compliance systems (e.g. NHVR, Chain of Responsibility) Work Environment & Conditions Office-based with regular interaction with drivers, customers, and hire operations. May involve occasional travel to branches or customer sites for logistics coordination. Fast-paced and team-oriented environment with tight deadlines and multiple moving parts. #J-18808-Ljbffr
