Fosse Meadows is an established high welfare free range/ organic chicken and sheep farm, butchery and retail business. You will be able to, or want to learn drive a telehandler and tractor, training is offered. As a small business we value flexible people interested in working on the farm or in our packing room. You need a can do attitude to help the business grow.

**Within the role you will be required to**:

- Feeding, bedding, catching of chickens, doing welfare and shed checks to ensure the birds are happy.
- Working with farm supervisor and team to manage day to day tasks. which will mean you could be working with chickens/sheep/workshop
- Good communication skills, working to a farming structure ensuring each days jobs are complete. highlighting issues and solutions where required.
- General farm maintenance to include; vehicle & machinery maintenance, fencing, welding, construction, groundworks and labouring in line with general farm maintenance.
- Working in on farm poultry abattoir & packing unit two mornings per week.
- Pressure washing processing unit, modules equipment, outside areas and maintaining a clean tidy yard
- Working some weekends on the farm or at the markets.

**Beneficial Skills & Qualifications would be any of the following**:

- A good eye for detail is essential and interest in keeping a tidy yard.
- Interest in agroforestry and regenerative farming techniques
- Shifts and hours can be flexible so we can take on full-time or part-time employees.
- Telehandler Certificates are a preference but training can be given.
- Knife skills for butchering chickens.
- Butchery experience on red meat, lamb, beef, pork.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Working on our London market stall, setting up the stall, interacting with customers whilst selling, dismantle the stall at the end and driving back to the farm.
- An interest in livestock, produce or food.
- References required

The role suits somebody who is flexible in what they want to do, our business operates across farming, abattoir, butchery and production, ecommerce and retail.

The role is 40+ hours per week, salary is dependent on experience. We offer 28 days’ holiday to include bank holidays. Enrolment into Nest pension scheme. We love food and hope you do too, so we give a staff discount.

Pay: £25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
