**Overview**

Days will range from Monday - Saturday 9:00 - 14:00.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Front of House Team Member with Barista experience to join our cafe team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they receive exceptional service from the moment they arrive. Your passion for food (& coffee) and commitment to customer satisfaction will help create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits.

**Responsibilities**
- Welcome guests with a friendly and professional demeanour.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all dietary requirements are noted.
- Make hot drinks & specialty coffees for customers when needed.
- Assist in food preparation and culinary tasks as needed, adhering to food safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including dining tables and service stations and washing up when needed.
- Engage with customers to provide information about menu items, including upselling specials and promotions.
- Handle cash transactions and use of Till.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any customer concerns promptly.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to maintain high service standards.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a cafe/restaurant or similar environment is preferred but not essential. Barista experience is essential for this role.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is an advantage but not essential training can be given.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately.
- A positive attitude with a willingness to help both customers and team members alike.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
