Joining a privately held well **established and expanding European Express, Dedicated Road freight specialist with a friendly and warm atmosphere.**
As a business they provide only dedicated vehicles for specialist shipments from manufacturers and freight forwarders. They prioritise top customer service, quality equipment, and knowledge. Handling clients large and small across the UK and Europe.
We are now looking for a **Senior European Operations Specialist**, joining a team who are responsible for managing a workload of customers and shipments. You will manage all aspects from quoting to supplier management, customsmanagement and any other task required for the completion of the shipments in good order.
**Main responsibilities include**
** Quoting on upcoming shipments**
** Management of ongoing transport operations, loading, delivery and customer updates along with support for our suppliers and hauliers**
** Management of the customs process for the shipment, preparation and support for the customer in ensuring the right documents are provided for the shipment, and liaising with our customs agency team to ensure quick clearance of goods.**
** Contacting UK and foreign suppliers to ensure the company can provide the right solution at a competitive price for the customer, minimising in-transit problems.**
** Supporting more junior members of the team with low level decision making, and on the job experience.**
** Complete administrative tasks around all clearances to support the customers in receiving information at the earliest opportunity.**
** A good working knowledge of road transport procedures and methodology**
** Working knowledge of customs documentation and processes**
** A proven track record in road freight operations**
** Experience of customer support and service**
** Be flexible and able to take on tasks to support the successful functioning of the business**
** Communicate effectively and professionally with customers, customs, and colleagues.**
**Benefits**
** Working hours are normally 0830-1700hrs with an hour for lunch**
** Salary: £30,000.00-£33,000.00 per year**
** 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays**
** Pension**
** With this role there is some out of hours and weekend working necessary, while management will work to minimise this it's the nature of express road freight that there will sometimes be a need for this. We operate on a time off in lieu basis and shareexceptional working between all Ops staff and management.
