Financial Controller (Senior) – Cheshire, UK Pay: £80,000–£90,000 + Bonus up to 20% + Healthcare + Car Options + Hybrid Working Forge Talent is recruiting a Financial Controller for a leading global manufacturing group expanding its European footprint through acquisition activity. This hybrid role is based from their Cheshire hub. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Financial Controller looking to progress to Finance Director level. A succession plan places promotion within 18–24 months. You will play a key role in strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting to support the group’s continued growth and profitability. Key Responsibilities Report directly to the European Finance Director (UK-based). Lead and deliver consolidated financials across multiple European entities. Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions. Support a finance transformation programme, including Power BI implementation and integration of acquisitions onto D365. Conduct variance analysis, trend reporting, and scenario modelling. Partner with the SLT and executive team to present insights and recommendations. Work closely with the European Finance Director on acquisition integration, aligning accounting procedures to group standards. Maintain full compliance with all relevant reporting requirements and tax obligations. Qualifications & Experience Fully qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA). Strong leadership skills, able to influence and deliver at all levels. Proven experience in senior finance roles. Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and tax regulations. Experience working within complex, multi-entity and international environments. Proficiency with financial systems (e.g., D365, SAP, Oracle). Some travel to European sites. Manufacturing experience not essential.
