This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates or aspiring teachers, to gain experience in a specialist setting, working with young people with Mental Health and Behavioural difficulties or Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

You do not need to have direct experience to apply, but a**relevant degree, passion** and **willingness to learn** are vital

FLEXIBLE OR LONG-TERM ROLES

Working as a SEMH or SEND Teaching Assistant in a special school, you have opportunities in the following types of settings:
- **Pupil Referral Units (PRU)**:

- for students who have been permanently excluded from mainstream education
- **SEMH schools**:

- for students with Social Emotional Mental Health and Behavioural difficulties and/or other complex needs
- **ASD Units**:

- for students with a formal diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder
- **SEND schools**:

- schools for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities or any kind
- **PMLD schools**:

- for students with Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (visual or hearing impairments, physical disabilities, complex needs and/or SEMH)
- Have a passion, willingness to learn and confident personality
- Be energetic and in good mental and physical health
- Be a graduate (relevant degrees preferred - Psychology, Criminology, Education Studies, Youth Studies, Health and Social Care)
- Be available during school hours (generally 08:30am - 4pm)
- Live in South-West London (or in easy access)
- Have Right to Work in the UK
