Freightserve recruitment are looking for a Branch Manager who is experienced within Air and Seafreight. The company are a well-established Freight Forwarder who are looking for an individual to grow the new Branch, which is based in the Heathrow area.

Role Purpose:
The company are expanding and opening a new Branch office in the Heathrow area. the new site comprises of office and warehouse space. As a start up Branch the Manager will have full responsibility for developing a business plan to support commercial opportunitiesand hiring their own operational team. The Branch Manager will have the full support of the Senior Management Team.

Main duties: To include, but not limited to:

- Responsible for creating and following a business plan, creating budgets and forecasts.
- Commercial development of the Branch focusing on new business opportunities
- Recruitment of operational team to support the demands of the business
- Running reports to ensure that all files are captured within the month/year end processes, ensuring that all financial and operational deadlines are met.
- Ensuring that all staff follow all financial, operational and administrative functions/processes.
- Ensuring that all staff understand the company Values.

Additional responsibilities / assumptions.
- Site Security Manager (Regulated Agent)
- HR Functions to include Training, Probations and Performance reviews with the support of HR.
- Annual forecasting and budgeting.
- UK/Overseas Travel as required.

Person Specification.

Experienced Branch Manager that has a proven track record of growing business,Is commercially aware and can take a start up operation and demonstrate the ability to grow and develop the Branch. The Manager must be able to demonstrate that they have the driveand determination to make this new Branch a success.
- Multi-Modal experience preferred with a strong operational background.
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset and business acumen.
- Ability to train and develop staff
- A high attention to detail, ability to understand processes, create and implement SOP’s
- Good written and oral understanding of the English language
- Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written.
- Ability to work to strict deadlines
- Ability to work under pressure
- Flexible and adaptable approach

Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a Management Position
- Understanding the financial principles of budgeting, forecasting and month end reporting.
- Commercial Experience - Sales and procurement.
