Training & Competence Coach/trainer

As a flexible Training & Competence Coach/Trainer you will be responsible for providing the appropriate training of our Financial Planners, supporting them in achieving their full potential, whilst meeting the needs of the business and our clients. You willbe part of the design and delivery of the Academy Development Programmes working within a small team with a focus on training the next generation of financial planners as part of our growth model.
**Key responsibilities will include**:
- Working collaboratively alongside our Regional Financial Planning Directors and Compliance Manager, you will help identify training and development needs within the financial planning teams and have responsibility for developing and delivering robust trainingsolutions to meet these.
- You will be hands on in delivering our Adviser Development Programme, supporting individuals from a range of backgrounds on their journey to becoming confident and competent Financial Planners, with a particular focus on communication and goals-based financialplanning.
- You will have input into the overall Training and Competency Framework as well as supporting its implementation.
- You will assist with the mapping and documenting of our current interview process and facilitate the design and creation of a best practice approach to every aspect of the client meeting advice process. This will involve design and mapping of each aspectof a client /adviser meeting including the language used, sales aids, supporting documentation and presentation style.
- You will develop modular video training and coaching aids, detailing the above process with guidance at each step of the adviser client interview. This along with ongoing coaching and training would then be used to develop consistency of approach acrossall advisors and form part of our 'financial planning hub’ a central resource of guidance and support materials for the business.
- You will be responsible for delivering one-to-one and group training, on a face-to-face basis and remotely (via MS Teams) as well as conducting role plays, providing ongoing support to Financial Planners to help them deliver positive consumer outcomes inline the needs of the business and regulatory requirements.
- You will ensure all training and supervision records are kept up to date via our Learning Management System.
- You will support a culture of self-development and continuous improvement and maintain your own professional knowledge of the industry and regulatory environment.
To succeed in this role, you will need experience working in an IFA T&C compliance or training environment, preferably in a supervisory role. As an experienced facilitator you will have the ability to coach, constructively challenge, and change behaviourwithin a formal and informal learning environment.
Additional requirements include:
- Prior experience in coaching and training within a regulatory/sales environment;
- Prior experience as a financial adviser/planner and/or T&C.
- Up to date knowledge of FCA regulatory requirements, in particular suitability.
- Previous experience of cash flow modelling tools (in particular Voyant), would be an advantag
