What does the role involve?

Reporting to our Head of Group MI, as a Data Governance Lead, you'll establish our data governance framework by defining policies, standards, and best practices. You'll partner with the business to champion the adoption of the new data governance tool to ensure we are leveraging and managing our data in a compliant and effective way; bringing our business a journey to the next level.

**Some of your key duties will include**:

- Monitor, maintain and where possible, improve data quality and consistency for our business units and shared services
- Implement a governance framework focusing on data quality, protection, and value through changes to thinking, tooling and ways of working
- Provide thought leadership based on data governance best practices gathered from internal and external sources
- Leadership of a team of Data Stewards, including coaching and mentoring to ensure people are appropriately skilled to deliver and match business needs
