Job Purpose

As a Data Business Partner, you will join the Data Governance team working on a wide range of initiatives to ensure our UK data is fit for Bupa’s strategies. From educating business functions, managing them to ensure that we are progressing towards Bupa’s data policies, to identifying, analysing, and presenting the data risks, gaps and agreed solutions, to ensuring that our end-to-end data and associated processes are accurate, fit for purpose and fully documented to Bupa data policy.

What you’ll do:

- Ensure that Bupa UK business functions, data and associated processes complies with the data quality/data management policies, controls and principles in the Data Governance Framework.
- Ensure that UK business functions are educated on, aware of and adhering to the required Data Governance Controls
- Produce & maintain a plan to ensure that our UK businesses comply with the data quality/data management policies, controls and principles in the Data Governance Framework.
- Document end to end data processes in a clear, simple style that can be easily understood by all Bupa staff.
- Plan, identify, monitor, analyse, prioritise, remediate, and articulate data risks/assessments and gaps in Bupa UK, as well as suggested solutions.
- Present all assessments/proposals & plans (including risk) with clear context, caveats, and considerations.
- Perform and action business requests in a manner which is consistent with data standards, principles and provide a good service to our internal stakeholders.

What you’ll bring - Essential Requirements

A strong communicator, planner and influencer - Able to converse with all level of seniority across the business, from front line operations to C-Suite executives. Can clearly articulate and summarise technical details to a non-technical audience. A people manager - Manage expectations of stakeholders, relevant teams and direct line management when delivering solutions. Commercially aware - Understand the business and industry that you operate within. Resilient - Self-sufficient and able to drive forward work, bounce back from adversity and quickly notice changes/problems. A team player - Able to work as part of multi-disciplinary teams on multiple projects at the same time. Ability to draw from, collate and summarise multiple data points in order to understand and identify current status and actions for improved data quality, standards and policy compliance Can analyse a situation and determine the priority actionable insights, based on an assessment of the data risks and priority business value/strategy. Knowledge of business, risk and IT concepts relating to the management of information as an enterprise asset and approaches to securing and protecting data.

Desirable, but not essential

Fluent in Data & Analytics - They have a solid foundation and understanding of data and areas of analytics, typically an all rounder rather than a specialist in a specific branch of analytics.
