We’re looking for an organised and enthusiastic Groups Coordinator to join the friendly team at our established English language school in York city centre.

This will be a busy and interesting role with varied responsibilities, supporting the smooth running of the language school division of the training centre. You’ll need to be a confident communicator, professional and with excellent attention to detail. We’re also looking for flexibility, a willingness to get involved and a “can-do” attitude

Experience in a similar role would be an advantage but not essential, but you will need to be sensitive to the needs of clients from other cultures. You’ll definitely have excellent computer skills and a confident telephone manner. You’ll need to be a fluent communicator in English; a second language would be great, but it’s not essential.

Your main responsibilities will be:

- Looking after group travel inquiries - you'll be the main contact for agents and clients planning group visits for their students, and will be the main liaison point for the client from their enquiry through to the end of their stay in York.
- providing accurate and commercially viable cost quotations to clients and agents based on the groups' size, dates and requirements, ensuring clear and detailed costing models are provided.
- You'll put together interesting and educational itineraries for our groups, according to the needs of the client, working closely with our Academic & Student Support team members.
- You'll have overall control of organising the logístical arrangements for the groups' stay, including accommodation, airport transfers and activities.
- You'll liaise with group leaders on their arrival to York, ensuring the programmes runs smoothly and addressing any issues as they arise.

This role can be full time, part time or on a job share basis. Hours of work can be flexible, although will usually need to take place between Monday and Friday. There may be a need to occasionally work out of hours and at weekend on a rota basis, to meet groups on arrival.
