My client are a well established, growing employer that are very customer focussed.They are recruiting for a permanent delivery driver that does not mind helping out in the warehouse at times.
Working hours are Mon-Fri 07.00-16.30 or 08.00 - 17.30, Sat - 09.00-17.305 days per week
Experience of delivery driving essential. A Reach or Counterbalance license would be beneficial, but training can be given after probation.
Salary £26,520.00
Your role is to assist the Head of Warehousing and Distribution with the following tasks:

- Provide excellent customer service that exceeds all customer’s expectations
- Deliver goods to customers mainly in a long wheelbase transit size vehicle.There will be no overnight stays and deliveries will be mainly in the South and up to the Midlands.
- Take in deliveries by way of handballing and Reach forklift, following the Company processes at all times.
- Arrange return of incorrectly delivered or damaged goods, complete a “Returns” note and inform supplier
- Provide cover in the warehouse when required
- Prepare and check outgoing deliveries ready for the following day
- All racks to be labelled on base in luminous card with all racked goods to be coded on end
- Keep warehouse, yard and damaged area clean and tidy
- Ensure that all customers are dealt with efficiently, courteously and as promptly as possible
- Deal with customer complaints/enquiries and follow them through to a satisfactory conclusion
- Keep paperwork precise and clear so that tasks may be followed by colleagues
- Ensure all promises made to customers are realistic, achievable and are completed
- Ensure that all Company systems and procedures are followed at all times
- Keep a tidy, safe working environment following all Health and Safety procedures
- Prepare and assist with stock checks adhering to Company procedure
