Perhaps you’ve previously undertaken admin roles but are looking for a new challenge?
We’re looking for two Admin Officers to work with Intelligence Teams within our National Enforcement Service. You won’t require an enforcement or intelligence background as this is a support role and you’ll be helping us to run an effective and busy department.
At the Environment Agency, our administrators perform vital work. You will be central to our friendly team - providing a comprehensive admin service. Your role will include:

- managing multiple IT and administrative systems
- managing our electronic records
- helping to procure goods and services
- monitoring a busy in-box to handle administrative requests
- providing our technical staff and managers with administrative support on routine tasks

Responding to incidents is a central part of what we do. You will be required to have an incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents or provide business continuity support during an incident. This may attract an additional payment and full training and workplace adjustments will be available to support you.
- The team- Covering the whole of England, the Intelligence & Partnerships team are part of our National Enforcement Service, working collaboratively and enthusiastically to support the delivery of the Environment Agency’s enforcement and regulatory remit. We collect, evaluate, develop and analyse intelligence, working closely with other Law Enforcement Agencies to tackle environmental crime and bring offenders to justice.
Experience/skills required- Essential skills include:

- Excellent IT skills and a high standard of competency in Microsoft packages
- Highly organised and able to switch between tasks easily

The following skills are very relevant:

- Experience of being self-driven as well as working as part of an inclusive and diverse team
- Ability to exercise judgement in prioritising administrative tasks
- Ability to navigate specialised IT systems quickly
- Good level of literacy and numeracy
- Clear communicator, able to work with a variety of customers and transmit and receive information effectively.

Knowledge of procurement is not necessary as training will be provided but if you have relevant experience, please tell us.
- Contact and additional information- This role is full-time and based in central Birmingham but we are happy to support smarter ways of working with opportunities for flexible and hybrid working once initial training is complete. You will work as part of a dispersed team so travel or overnight stays may be required occasionally.
