We are currently recruiting for an **Account Manager** to join a progressive and ambitious freight forwarding team looking to grow and expand. The company is recognised as being one of the fastest growing companies in it’s sector and part ofan award winning shipping group.

The Account Manager will be the main point of contact for existing and prospective clients and be responsible for commercial activity by quoting and converting into profitable business through highlighting new upselling/cross selling opportunities.

**£24,000-£28,000 Per Annum Basic**

**OTE £30,000-£38,000**

**Responsibilities**
- Seek, develop, and secure new opportunities from existing business.
- Measure, monitor and review performance of key accounts, ensuring budgets and forecasts are met. Optimise opportunities and manage a client database.
- Generate and identify through effective targeting of new business opportunities and turn them into profitable business.
- Support the business by delivering high levels of customer service and build strong relationships.
- Provide customers with accurate and cost effective quotations. Select appropriate carrier/ haulier as to maximise profits.
- Integrate new business into our service network
- Work closely with Internal teams (notably Operations, customs, and transport) to ensure the seamless movement of cargo from origin to destination
- Monitor market trends to keep abreast of the competition
- Arrange regular client check-ups, via zoom or face to face
- Meet set individually set quarterly targets with the opportunity to earn commission

- Experience working in a proactive telesales or cold calling sales role ideally with Outbound telesales experience would be greatly advantageous
- Experience of working to targets and KPI’s would be advantageous
- Logistics experience ideal but not required
