Exeter, United Kingdom Devon County Council Full time

An opportunity has arisen at Doddiscombsleigh Primary School for an enthusiastic, talented, resilient and committed person to encourage, motivate and support children in school. School work is rewarding and satisfying with no two days the same. You will ultimately be part of a team ensuring a safe and happy learning environment for all children.

As a Teaching Assistant you will need to be calm but firm and enjoy working with children, having a minimum qualification at GCSE Maths and English. Experience of working in a classroom situation or a qualification as a Teaching Assistant, NVQ2 or NVQ3 would be ideal. We are looking for someone who can continue to liaise and build relationships with parents and families and, therefore, good and courteous communication skills are a necessity. The curriculum work will be prepared by the teacher and as with all teaching assistant posts you may be required to work throughout all areas of the school but the role is primarily for KS1.

Our highly successful federation is a popular choice with children, parents and staff and our small village school boasts a friendly and welcoming environment.

**How to apply**

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Please see our Safeguarding Policy available on the school website. An Enhanced level DBS check will be necessary for this post.
