**Role: Information Systems Team Leader**

As an Information Systems Team Leader you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Server Team.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Responsible for coaching and mentoring of the Server Team.
- Assist the Server Manager to actively contribute to team leadership and management forums.
- Assist the service delivery management team in the identification and documentation of risks and issues.
- Ensure timely resolution of incidents and service requests in accordance with documented Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Maintain the service availability of the server and storage infrastructure.
- Ensure appropriate capacity planning measures are in place and are reviewed regularly to meet the needs of both Humberside and South Yorkshire Police.
- Maintain an effective data backup schedule.
- Provide an effective patching schedule to all physical and virtual assets to assist in preventing a cyber threat or security breach.
- Responsible for the completion of IT security remediation actions in order to support the GIRR (Governance and information risk return) for the use of national IT systems.
- Maintain IT Infrastructure Hardware effectiveness in order to retain high levels or service availability to the customers.
- To provide technical guidance to the IT Operations Management Team on new technologies.
- Deputise for the Server Manager as and when necessary.
**Skills and experience**:
- Ability to be able to demonstrate the delivery and management of multiple projects at the same time.
- Proven technical abilities of the following disciplines: - Server Technologies both Physical and Virtual, Access Control Measures, Data Storage Technologies, Database Management, Virtualisation, Cloud-Based integration such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.
- Good understanding of IT Security standards to protect force assets from external and internal IT security threats.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service standards.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills are necessary, as the post holder will be expected to liaise with internal and external colleagues in a non-technical manner.
