Digital Access is a dynamic and innovative team committed to delivering exceptional services to our customers. Sheffield Council is currently embarking on an exciting digital journey that is focusing on delivering excellent digital and automated services to our customers.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Information System Officer to help drive forward the council’s digital strategy.

**The role**

Acting as a system officer, you will assist on several key digital activities the council is currently committed to. These will include assisting with the development of telephony systems (Storm and Teams telephony), carrying out systems testing, automating front and back-office processes, assisting with upcoming projects around online chat and natural language and other duties as they arise across the team.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- To develop relationships across the business, communicate and work effectively with service staff to establish data requirements, resolve problems, achieve mutually beneficial goals, and improve service.
- To continuously monitor and review data to ensure effectiveness of systems and processes to improve performance and ensure best value for customers.
- To assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and systems testing process for upgrades, fixes and new modules.

**Skills and knowledge we are looking for**:

- Understanding of information requirements associated with the storage and transfer of data.
- Delivery of training on a one-to-one basis or small groups.
- Capability to extract data to provide management information.
- Ability to translate complex information into an easily understood format

If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
