Financial Accountant

This role is responsible for preparation of the balance sheet reconciliations, supporting a payroll migration project, improving the control environment and delivering 1st cut of the month-end. This role will ideally be based 3 days a week in Weybridge,with the rest of the week from home.
**Responsibilities**:
- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
- Ensure internal controls compliance
- Support centralisation activity
- Support with payroll migration project from a finance process perspective
- Build a strong relationship with various stakeholders ensuring all month-end activity is completed to a high standard and in a timely manner
- Deliver 1st cut of the month-end
- Support the Team to respond to the external auditors
- Police the PTP process, reducing manual interventions during month-end
- Manage and produce the statutory financial information for the annual report and accounts
- Work closely with the business to ensure that changes in accounting policies are implemented properly
- Support and drive other adhoc activities
Person Specification
- Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent experience.
- Qualified / Finalist chartered accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA);
- Technical and auditing experience.
- Strong knowledge of applicable reporting standards.
- Can demonstrate project management skills.
- Proven analytical and problem solving skills.
