**AAK Runcorn**
AAK Runcorn is the home to AAK Foods, a major manufacturer and supplier of sauces, condiments and dressings to the retail and foodservice sectors.
Our private label work has won awards for taste and quality, and our products can be found on the shelves of stores throughout the world.
From our site on Davy Road, to the east of the town centre, we work with customers to co-develop new recipes for grocery private label products, retail restaurants, quick service restaurants, foodservice and food ingredients.
**About the role**
**Responsibilities**:
- The setup and operation of the line to correct standards and ensuring food safety (HACCP) and hygiene standards are maintained.
- Ensure performance targets for the line are met and costs are managed through improving line wastage and achieving man hours per tonne targets.
- Responsible for ensuring line paperwork checks and works orders are completed in full to achieve right first time of both product and paperwork.
- Lead the drive for continuous improvement in your area using all available tools and modern manufacturing techniques to achieve the full potential from manufacturing areas.
- Proactively anticipate and identify problems to develop and implement appropriate solutions.
- Ensure communication is cascaded both up and down the business and liaise with other shifts to ensure effective handovers are achieved.
- Work to maintain quality standard - zero defects (internal and external) but participating in HACCP studies and ensuring CCP’s are controlled.
- Lead and manage allocated team members in relation to all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including training and development, engagement initiatives, and absence management.
**About you**
- Recognised qualification in business or manufacturing process or demonstrable experience of working within a similar role.
- Experience of leading teams and understanding of effectively managing employee relations.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing or six sigma principles (desirable)
- Knowledge of SMED (Single Minute Exchange Die) (desirable)
- An excellent team player with strong leadership and management skills.
- Health and safety and food hygiene (HACCP) qualification.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Good IT skills with experiencing in using Microsoft packages and other production management software.
- Ability to work a rotating 3 shift work pattern.
- A flexible and reliable approach to work.
- Be a self-driven individual with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude.

**Salary**: starts from £30,500 inclusive of Shift Allowance.
