We urgently require and Activities Coordinator at Norden House.

As the Activities Co-ordinator, you are responsible for planning, implementing and participating in activities appropriate to Residents’ needs and requests. You will also assist the Home Manager in organising fundraising events. You will be required to manage a team of staff and volunteers to implement the activities_._

**Your knowledge, skills and experience**

Proven ability to develop and organise a range of events/activities for Residents in all Resident categories.

Good communication and organisational skills.

Previous experience of working with the relevant Resident group.

**Your key accountabilities and responsibilities**
- To promote the general health and mental wellbeing of residents, maintaining their quality of life and ensure that the home has a full activity programme which caters to all residents needs.
- To observe, monitor and record the condition of residents whilst delivering activities and care and maintaining clear records of resident's involvement in activity’s.
- To provide and assist residents to access and participate in a range of recreational activities, either in groups or individually.
- Liaise with residents, relatives, friends of residents and staff, to ensure full knowledge of the residents likes, dislikes, interests, abilities and difficulties.
- Planning and initiating monthly rolling/individual programmes, and encouraging Residents to maintain pre-existing hobbies.
- Accompanying Residents, where possible, to offsite activities, which may occasionally take place outside normal working hours.
- Maintain a portfolio of information, including the range of activities available within the home and the local community.
- Maintaining full and accurate records of daily activities using appropriate documentation, and assisting the Named Carer to review and update Resident Care Files.
