Front Office Assistant

Looking for FOH & Housekeeping couple for a live in position based in Hawick the Scottish Borders. Start ASAP.
Responsibilities For FOH:
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer questions about menu items, specials, and promotions
- Manage reservations and waitlists
- Set up and maintain the dining area, ensuring it is clean, organized, and properly set up for service
- Assist with the preparation and presentation of menu items, as needed
- Operate cash registers and other point of sale (POS) systems, processing payments and making change accurately
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure that food is delivered to guests in a timely and accurate manner
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and standards, including food handling and sanitation protocols
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Housekeeper responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, showers, sinks, and countertops
- Dust and wipe down surfaces, including furniture, fixtures, and electronics
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors
- Clean kitchen, including countertops, sinks, stovetops, microwaves, and refrigerators
- Wash dishes, pots, and pans as necessary
- Make beds and change linens as needed
- Sort, wash, and fold laundry
- Remove trash and recycling, and replace liners as necessary
- Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces
- Dust and clean baseboards, moldings, and window sills
- Organize and tidy living or work spaces, as directed
- Report any damages or maintenance issues to the appropriate parties
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including proper handling of cleaning products
- Perform other cleaning and maintenance tasks as directed by management
**Salary**: From £10.50 per hour
