Exactly **City Plumbing are recruiting for a Bid Writer or a Bid Coordinator. **This could be on either a full time contract or we would look at Bid Writers who would like to work a four day working week. You’ll need to have previous experience in writing and winning tenders, and be able to build strong relationships across our business. **Does this Bid Writer role sound like a bit of you? Read on to find out more **The Role: It is an exciting time here at City Plumbing. We’ve recently become a stand-alone business and are making real strides in creating an inclusive workplace that celebrates and values diversity. Working as our new Bid Writer or Bid Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for creating and managing the content and submission of bids/tenders for new opportunities and re-tenders nationally from pre-qualification through to contract award. **To do this you’ll work closely alongside the Bid and Marketing Manager to ensure correct commercial decisions are made, and that we communicate information across the team and wider Highbourne/City Plumbing Group to ensure continued success. **Areas of focus include**: - Use your experience and creative skills throughout the tender production process to ensure that the company is perceived as a quality solutions provider and the number one choice for its existing and prospective customers. - Manage submissions through supporting relevant stakeholders in order to design and produce the bid documentation to meet client needs. - Work with head office departments to deliver effective and current answers to questions and enquiries in and bids or proposals. - Embrace continuous improvement activities, such as capturing and contributing to lessons learned and bid submission reviews. **This is primarily a remote-based role with visits to our Head Office on an ad-hoc basis as required. We would consider Bid Writer applicants looking for full time hours, or those who are looking to work a four-day working week. You should be based in the UK and our Head Office is based in Crick, Northamptonshire. This means you could be from areas such as Birmingham, Chesterfield, Corby, Coventry, Hinckley, Kettering, Leamington Spa, Leicester, Loughborough, Lutterworth, Market Harborough, Milton Keynes, Nottingham, Northampton, Nuneaton, Oundle, Oxford, Peterborough,Rugby, Sutton Coldfield, Tamworth, Warwick, Wellingborough. Required skills and competencies**: - Demonstrable track record of writing content for winning bids. - Compelling writing skills, complete with a high standard of spelling and grammar. - Able to build relationships and be able to gain buy in from possible stakeholders - Able to effectively plan your work, allowing yourself to create successful bids - APMP foundation certification would be beneficial but not essential. **It is highly likely you will have worked in any of the following roles and/or markets, and worked with the following products and/or services: Bid Coordinator, Bid Lead, Bid Technician, Bid Writer, Housing Associations, Housing Sector, Proposal Coordinator,Proposal Manager, Proposal Technician, Public Sector, Tender Coordinator, Tender Writer. **Us: **From boilers to bathroom suites, tubing to towel rails and everything in between, City Plumbing has all the products our customers need to complete the job.
