The NPD team sits at the heart of all of this and there is an exciting opportunity to join our innovation team.

We are looking for a part time NPD Technologist to work within our new ‘Flava Lab’ with world famous brands such as Guinness & YO, in addition to some of our own brands, we help to give our customers across retail, restaurant, food manufacturing & the independents an unfair advantage.

We’re looking for an experienced **NPD Technologist** with at least 1 year in industry who is passionate about every aspect of food.

The hours of work will be Monday & Tuesday 8.30am -5.30pm (1hr break) & Wednesday 1pm - 5.30pm (30 Min Break) based at our site in Sharston, Manchester.

**The Person**

We’re looking for an **NPD Technologist** who can:

Ensure NPD budget is used the ‘right way’ and efficiently.
- ** Functional superiority**: Lead the innovation trail on Flava and on functionality, always pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. Lead the way with sampling and testing the quality & functionality of these thoroughly before approving.

**Organisation**

***Departmental Unity**: To attend regular departmental meetings (minimum weekly) to discuss current projects, workloads and any departmental issues.
- ** Documenting the process**: To fully utilise all NPD documentation and organization of sample codes and delivery information. To also help add to and amend where necessary to help create the path to innovation process, helping evolve NPD’s process within in the Company procedures.
- ** Deadlines**: manage your workload to ensure briefs are completed on time/early
- ** SAP aligned**: Use the development SAP system to create recipes and check costs.

- ** Brand Guidelines**: To be fully Immersed in our brand guidelines, to ensure consistent quality of MRC The Flava people products both own brand and licensed products. Working with the extended team to improve and update the product knowledge, ingredients and products within our brands.
