Salary Range: Grade D £14,461-£16,253 actual based on 25 hours per week (£21,403-24,055 fte)

OVERVIEW

We have an exciting new role at Patchwork in order to build on and support the management team that we have in place already. Joining our Nursery Manager, Deputy Managers and Room leaders we are seeking an individual who has at least 3 years’ experience in a busy office administration role to support the team with the management of administration involved in the day to day running of the 2 settings.

Patchwork Day Nursery and Pre-School provides full time and sessional childcare for children aged 6months to 5 years, Based at Perins School in Alresford, our aim is provide high quality care and education with a flexible approach to meet the needs of all families.

JOB PURPOSE
1. Carry out administrative tasks to achieve the successful running of patchwork nursery and pre school
2. Oversee the recruitment in line with the parents Matt guidelines
3. Feed into strategic running of setting alongside the manager and the SLT line manager

KEY TASKS

Administrative Support
- Act as the central point of contact for all customer enquiries and bookings in relation to
Patchwork Nursery. **To work in partnership with the Nursery in all aspects of nursery management in line with current legislation**
- Assist in the development of policies, procedures and risk assessments to ensure safe, effective management of the nursery - including maintaining records of children re health, allergy information etc
- Work closely with the Nursery Manager and Finance Team to ensure invoices are generated in a timely manner and paid promptly
- Maintain reports on income generation and occupancy levels for Patchwork Nursery and
Pres-school, **To carry out any other administrative tasks such as, weekly food orders, staff rotas, resource orders as and when, funding termly, reviewing and filing accident forms monthly, parent bulletin communication, updating data bases with new children and their session information, filing registers weekly and reviewing attendance.  ** To organise admissions administration within the settings, process registrations, monitor availability and maintain spreadsheets

- Issue offer letters to parents
- Organise pre visits for all Nursery children
- Develop relationships with recruitment agencies where necessary, and place adverts for staff in appropriate places. To co-ordinate interviews in line with The Perins MAT guidelines and liaise with the Personnel Team as appropriate to onboard staff.
- To be involved in organisation of events throughout the year
- Keep photo boards and other means of electronic communication up to date - including social media as appropriate
COMMUNICATION
- To ensure that communication with children, parents and the staff team is polite and courteous at all times
- To attend and participate in staff meetings, INSET days, parent and social evenings
- Report all maintenance requirements to the manager to ensure their immediate attention.

- Minimum GCSE Grade C or equivalent in Maths and English
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal

- Excellent numeracy skills
- Ability to prioritise and manage workload to successfully deliver to deadline

- Experience of running and developing a business - desirable
- Experience working within a similar setting is advantageous
