**LOCATION**:Spalding / Horncastle / Boston
**SALARY**: £24,308 per annum

Due to recent changes within the Revenues & Benefits service, we are excited to be offering an opportunity for a permanent full-time role within the Debt Recovery team.
As a Case Management Officer within the Debt Recovery team, you would play a key role in our service, ensuring the prompt and efficient billing, collection and recovery of Council Tax and Business Rates on behalf of our client councils.
**Typical duties include**:
- Accurate and timely updating of customer records.
- Dealing with customers by phone, and in writing to provide advice, explanations and clarification of decisions and actions.
- Negotiate payment arrangements to maximise recovery and minimise ongoing, escalating debt.
- Provide support to individuals to seek appropriate advice and guidance where a possible vulnerability is recognised.
- Previous customer service experience in a debt management environment or supporting customers struggling with debt is essential
- GCSE level C/4 or above in English and Maths
- Awareness of Council Tax, Business Rates, Housing Benefit / Council Tax Support
- A flexible approach to accommodate changing priorities
