JOB PURPOSE

An exciting opportunity to be part of a transformational journey with the Home Care Innovation team, creating new, winning, and sustainable laundry products

Fabric Care is one of the biggest categories in Unilever and the largest category in Home Care. Consisting of Fabric Cleaning and Fabric Enhancers, it has some very loved brands including Dirt 4 Good, Surf, Comfort and Snuggle.

The Liquids & Capsules team, based in Port Sunlight, develops exciting product innovations, with a strong focus on solving consumer pain points with differentiated mixes, crafted from technology for superior performance and delivering our Clean Future promise. It is a fast-paced category with a truly exciting transformational agenda and vision for future growth.

The Technical Project Leader for speciality brands will be central to the growth ambition of the category, leading the development of the next generation of laundry liquid products which will build category premiumisation. You will have responsibility for technical project leadership of innovations, creating mixes designed for superior performance and technology development with partners. Working cross functionally, you will deliver new products and compelling claims and digital assets to support launches.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Core member of the global Liquids & Capsules Homecare Innovation leadership team.
- Partner with Brand, and Supply Chain as TPLs to deliver innovations.
- Work with global R&D partners within Business Units to deliver and support innovation.
- Work with external partners to bring in new technology to support product development.
- Build a technology pipeline for sustainable mixes based on understanding of emerging regulations for sustainable brands.
- Develop a strong culture and capability for design led innovation within your program.
- Line management of technical team based in Port Sunlight.

Relevant Experience:

- Physical or material science degree with industrial experience.
- Experience in product and technology development.
- Experience of working within multi-disciplinary environment.
- Experience in management of external programs and partnerships is preferred.
- Knowledge of Home Care products/category would be an advantage.
