Based near **Grantham**, privately owned and operating in the **Financial Services** and **FinTech** space. Are you **newly quailed accountant** looking for a varied role role that could provide a fantastic pathway into senior commercial finance? Perhaps you’re a **part qualified accountant** and only have a couple of exams left? This is ok too as these guys will offer you the **study support** and time needed to complete your qualifications.
You will be responsible the preparation and completion of the monthly **management accounts**, whilst also supporting the Head of Commercial Finance with relevant **financial analysis**. You will also help with the annual **budgeting** and **forecasting**cycles whilst getting to regularly partner with other operational departments as and when required.
You will either be newly qualified (**ACA, ACAA, CIMA**), part qualified or a finalist.
What you’ll do.
- Preparation of the **monthly management accounts** reports alongside variance analysis and commentary.
- Preparation and posting of **month end** and **year end journals**, including accruals, prepayments, loans, foreign currency, revaluations and provisions.
- Management of the cashbook and review of the bank statements.
- Completion of **balance sheet reconciliations**.
- Management of fixed and intangible **asset postings** and relevant **depreciation/amortisation postings**.
- Working closely with the Payroll, Sales & Purchase Ledger, VAT and Operational teams.
- Working with the Statutory Accounts team and providing responses to questions raised as part of the External Audit process.
- Supporting the Head of Commercial Finance in preparation of forecast information and partnering with the Operational teams in order to drive this.
- **Analysis** & **modelling** to support the Head of Commercial Finance role.
What you’ll need.
- **ACA / ACCA / CIMA** qualified OR part qualified.
- Strong **Excel**skills (VLOOKUP and SUMIF)
- A positive, proactive mind-set and the ability to prioritise numerous work streams.
- Knowledge of **SAGE** would be advantageous but not a deal breaker.
- The ability to work individually or as part of a team.
- Can confidently translate, sometimes complex financial information in a clear and concise way.
