**Job Summary**:
Dynamic and hands-on Hub Supervisor to help manage the day-to-day operations of our café. The ideal individual is a natural leader with a passion for customer service, food and beverage, and team development. As a Hub Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in delivering an outstanding customer experience while supporting the team and contributing to a positive workplace culture.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Team Leadership & Staff Development
- Supervise front-of-house during shifts, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard
- Provide on-the-job training, guidance, and mentoring to new and existing staff
- Foster a positive, motivated work environment and address performance issues constructively
- Assist in preparing and managing staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours
Sales, Reporting & Business Support
- Support the Ayrshire Food Hub Board in analysing sales data and identifying areas for improvement or growth
- Help implement promotions, seasonal menus, or marketing campaigns
- Ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations
- Take initiative to suggest improvements in service, efficiency, or customer satisfaction
Customer Service & Experience
- Act as a point of contact for customer concerns or special requests, ensuring every guest has a positive experience
- Monitor the quality and presentation of food and beverages, ensuring consistency with brand standards
- Maintain a warm, welcoming, and inclusive café atmosphere at all times
- Greet customers in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Take customer orders accurately and provide product recommendations.
- Handle complaints or escalate to a lead when necessary
Operational Aspects
- Complete and Oversee daily operations including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and till reconciliation
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and food hygiene standards, completing necessary checks and documentation
- Monitor and manage waste, portion control, and product rotation to reduce loss and maintain freshness
**Food & Beverage Preparation**:
- Prepare hot and cold drinks according to café standards.
- Assist in basic food preparation
- Follow food hygiene and safety guidelines at all times.
**Point of Sale Operations**:
- Operate cash registers, handle cash, and process card transactions.
- Maintain accuracy in till operations and end-of-day balancing.
**Cleanliness & Maintenance**:
- Keep the café area clean, tidy, and presentable at all times.
- Perform regular cleaning of tables, floors, equipment, and counters.
- Dispose of waste appropriately and ensure recycling procedures are followed.
**Stock & Inventory Management**:
- Replenish stock and supplies as needed (e.g., napkins, cultery, coffee beans, milk).
- Inform line management of low stock levels or supply issues.
- Assist with deliveries and storage of goods.
**Teamwork & Communication**:
- Work collaboratively with team members and support new staff training.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen, bakery and front-of-house teams.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.

Pay: From £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 32 per week

**Experience**:
- Hospitality: 3 years (preferred)
- Customer service: 3 years (preferred)

- Supervising : 2 years (preferred)
