Job title: Warehouse Operatives Monday to Friday 9am till 5pm

Location: Alfreton Somercoates industrial estate

Contract type: Temporary Monday to Friday full time position 37.5 hours

Hourly rate/Salary: £12 per hour up to 37.5 hours overtime offered over 37.5 hours at a higher rate of pay as and when needed.

Our client is responsible for providing goods and services to thousands of customers throughout the UK, due to their continued growth, short deadline of orders, and expanding customer base, they need a team that are reliable, happy with repetitive work and able to help them through their busy periods.

We are seeking a team of warehouse operatives who can work in a distribution environment, that is reliant on a speedy turnaround of goods coming in and then out again very quickly.

**The Job Role**

You will not always be working in the same location of the warehouse as there are constant demands in different areas, from packing, order picking, general cleaning, stock takes and stock replenishment.

A lot of the role will be repetitive however you will need to be flexible in the role you do as they require all warehouse operatives, to work all areas and follow instruction and simple methods.

**Main Duties include**:

- Receive orders from suppliers and bundle them up into orders ready for dispatch to thousands of suppliers in the UK.
- Packing & Picking materials into boxes daily, at a fast-paced speed
- Labelling parcels ready to be despatched the same working day
- Loading goods onto vehicles maximum weight can be up to 5kg so please consider this.
- Checking stock
- Manual handling
- Packaging the product for distribution

**Your new position will be working**

The working hours are Monday to Friday 9am till 5pm with a 30 minute break. The position starts with initially on a temporary contract then looks to extend dependant on performance, and their order deadlines.

**The commute**

If you have a car and are flexible with travel great it takes around 20/30 minutes from Derby. If you're limited to public transport, please consider this as it takes around 1 hour 13 minutes from Derby bus station, however if you live close to Alfreton there are bus routes available. Our Client is based in both the South Normanton and Somercotes area of Alfreton.

**Requirements and skills**:

- Previous experience within the warehouse environment
- Hardworking and reliable
- Must be able to work full time across 5 days a week 37.5 hour a week.
- Safety boots
- Able to work on a temporary assignment, happy to work flexible shifts. I.E. weekends long days if needed
- Live and work to company values
- Must be able to get to Alfreton
- Can work within a team
- Great literacy and numeracy skills.
- Must be polite and friendly, with excellent communication skills
- Happy to work on their feet for long periods of time and able to conduct repetitive positions, working at the same work station.
