**About us**

We are are Groundworks & Civils Contractor specialising in Section 38, 278 and Section 104 Development Adoptions. We carry out works for a number of well known developers to ensure that sites are brought upto an adoptable standard by the local authority and water utility companies. We are professional and care about our people and what we do. We have a vast portfolio of work on adoptions, drainage schemes & traditional groundwork projects to some heavy civils works. For the right gang a small van / pickup will be provided.

**We are looking for a motivated and hardworking individuals to join our team at MJL. We provide training and support to ensure that you are geared up with the right skills to work with us to deliver projects for our client safely, on time and on budget.**

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Perform tasks as required in line with scope of works. This can include:

- Kerb removals and Kerb installation including pin kerb replacements.
- Block Paving works (Lift and Relay or large areas of new install)
- Installing new gullies and gully legs, or lowering cover & frames
- Tarmacing - this can include both footways and carriageway or driveways, both patches and full lengths. We need teams who can Labour, Lay, Finish.
- Carry out general drainage works including benching manholes, replacing pipework, excavating down and installing new MHs and pipework and generally working as part of a team.
- Perform tasks in a safe manner taking the approach of Safety First
- Performs other duties as assigned by your supervisor or manager.

**Experience**:

- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and/or excavating or raking equipment.
- Experience working on construction sites or under adverse conditions for extended periods of time.
- Be able to be self sufficient within a team and manage the projects that are assigned to you.
- Be in possession of a CSCS Card
- Ideally be in possession of a Streetworks Operatives Card (not essential)
- Ideally have NPORS or CPCS Plant Tickets - Excavator/Dumper/Roller
- Ideally have a Confined Space Medium Risk Qualification
