Advanced Practitioner Radiotherapy

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced, motivated and flexible therapeutic radiographer to join our work force and be part of an enthusiastic and patient centred Radiotherapy Team. You will work alongside our Consultant Clinical Oncologists with support from the Head of Radiotherapy, Consultant Radiographers and the wider Radiotherapy team. You will be a key member of the radiographer review team, supporting patients throughout the Radiotherapy pathway and managing treatment related side effects. You will be expected to conduct on
- treatment patient reviews and prescribe medication under non-medical prescribing framework for all patient groups and tumour sites. You will work collaboration with Oncology clinicians and other trust staff to support the team and patients on the radiotherapy pathway.
The Radiotherapy Department is based in the Deanesly Centre and comprises of four Elekta Versa HD Linacs, XStrahl orthovoltage unit and a HDR brachytherapy unit all supported by the Mosaiq record and verify system. Pre-treatment imaging is provided by two Philips wide bore CT scanners. IMRT, IGRT, ABC, DIBH and gynecological brachytherapy are currently offered as routine as well as SABR.
Applicants must have substantial clinical and supervisory experience within the radiotherapy setting, with at least 2 years' experience working as a senior radiographer. This experience must be underpinned with Masters' level knowledge.
