Financial Reporting Accountant

About the role
As a Financial Reporting Accountant, you will provide financial and management information to assist in decision making and enabling performance improvement and profit maximization in all Porsche Retail Group operations. To ensure that within the group criticalpolicies and procedures are adhered to limit risk to the Company.
About the key responsibilities
In the role of Financial Reporting Accountant, you will be:

- In conjunction with Senior Business Analyst (SBA) and PRG Finance Manager identify and analyse business and financial risks.
- Monthly reporting of Group Chain Calculation - sales and stock, finance penetration and Stand-in-value analysis. Responsible for developing and maintaining Chain Calculation model.
- Input and submit Group budget and biannual profit forecast into Porsche AG (PAG)
- Work with stakeholders to prepare IT and capital investment budgets and forecasts, overseeing associated depreciation calculations and disclosures.
- Prepare PAG VAI investment submissions and outer year forecasts, ensuring submissions agree with local reporting of investment spend and forecast spend
- Assist Financial Planning and Group Reporting manager with the preparation of budget and forecast presentations
- Complete monthly reporting Financial Reporting; Corporation & Deferred Tax reporting, Chain Calculation, Monthly Statutory Reporting. Including preparation of upload files for reporting systems
- Oversee composite input ensuring consistency of data across all operations
- Oversee fixed asset reporting in the month including monthly investment reporting to PAG
- Monthly reporting of Investments, headcount and management accounts data in Porsche AG (PAG) systems.
- Responsible for consolidation and development of Group weekly units and financial forecast. Development and Maintenance of New and Used Vehicle Tracker for variance analysis with weekly forecast.
- Assisting SBA in preparation of financial reporting and network reporting in PAG systems.
- Responsible for maintaining fixed assets register including Capex analysis - Budget vs. Actual and forecasting spend by working with centre accountants and management.

About you
To be successful for the role of Financial Reporting Accountant, you will have / be:

- A motivated individual with a desire to succeed who balances a strong accounting background with the ability to provide effective commercial support
- The understanding of a retail operation and the inherent desire/pressure to achieve retail targets in a competitive environment, balanced against an environment with increased regulation and financial demands both internally and externally
- Ideally a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA (preferably gained in a retail sales environment)
- Able to demonstrate a proactive approach, with a desire to improve the business
- The ability to communicate effectively and can adjust your style to suit/fit the audience and the message being delivered, whilst maintaining the ability to get the message across to the audience

About the rewards
For the role of Financial Reporting Accountant the hours of work are Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.30pm.
