**About us**:
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Residential Deputy Manager to join our service as we continue to grow our internal residential provision in Warrington. We are looking for an experienced, child focused individual who has a good understanding of the Ofsted Regulations to support the Registered Manager in the day to day running of on one of our children's homes is Warrington and ensure the services we provide to our children is outstanding.
You will work 37 hours a week Monday to Sunday on rota basis with the expectation of completing sleep in duties supporting the children and young people in within the service.
You will also benefit from 20% enhancements Monday to Friday 7pm to 11pm and 30% enhancements from 7pm to 11pm on Saturday and Sunday. We offer a substantial training package and are committed to supporting development and progress. We are in easily commutable distance of Greater Manchester, Cheshire and Merseyside. We have a car leasing scheme (salary sacrifice) and rail ticket scheme available for our employees. When established within the role we will support you in the completion of a Level 5 Foundation degree in Leadership and Management.
**The role**:
To assist the Registered Manager in the overall running of the homes, in line with the requirements of the Children's Homes Regulations and the Quality Standards, any other relevant legislation and Warrington Borough Council's Policies and Procedures

**What's needed?**:
NVQ level 3 in care of children & young people or a diploma in social care.
Experience of working with children and young people in a social care setting.
Understanding of young people's needs and behaviours and evidence of having effectively contributed to responding to those needs to enable them to reach full potential.
Demonstrates a flexibility of approach.
Proven interpersonal skills to be able to represent the interests of the home in a positive way.
Accepts responsibility and accountability for own work, understands the limits of his/her role. Is able to complete work by set deadline, seeks and uses professional support constructively.
Evidence of ability to contribute effectively to a team providing high quality care in a safe and stable setting.
Experience of working in a setting where a calm manner and reflective attitude is needed.
