Job Introduction
Our Shift Manager will effectively and efficiently, manage the resources within the cutting room to ensure the best use of people, plant and materials and meet output, product quality and customer service targets.

Ensure that all 2SFG customer and legal requirements are always followed e.g. Animal Welfare food safety, product quality, policies and procedures.

**Be a strong inspirational Leader of people who can galvanise a team during challenging times.**

Main Responsibilities
- Personal accountability for over 175 colleagues taking full accountability for managing all aspects of conduct, absence and performance.
- Achieve specific Shift / Area KPI’s as detailed within accountabilities below.
- Ensure total legal compliance in all areas of H&S, Technical and People as well as practicing the organisations values and competencies.
- Ensure that team operations, are conducted in manner which fully complies with health and safety, quality, environmental and corporate policies.
- To lead, motivate and inspire your teams to achieve production plans.
- Ensure the teams, through regular briefings and consultations, plays a full role within the context of the site and business to facilitate optimal performance
- Managing the development of the team, develop people capability and flexibility through effective employee relations, recruiting, training and development, and communication.
- Motivate, train and develop the team, managing its performance, to maintain an effective and flexible workforce capable of meeting its current and projected objectives.
- Ensure employees have proper access to necessary tools to perform assigned duties and that tools/equipment are routinely inspected and maintained.
- Completes standard and ad hoc reporting on production yields, material usage, and material loss data.
- Plans and manages production activities to ensure compliance with customer expectations for accuracy, quality, and timeliness. Develops and implements action plans to address production performance concerns or improve operations.
- Have a strong understanding of the production process and activities within area of responsibility.
- Anything else required to complete your role successfully.
- Great communicator
- Solid level of numeracy - able to calculate and report on performance and shift KPI’s.
- Excellent track record of managing teams; building capability, addressing any issues effectively and in compliance with legislative and company policies and procedures.
- Ability to clearly communicate and build a strong and effective team.
- Self-motivated and highly resilient.
- IOSH Managing Safety
- Food Safety Level 3
- Must be a confident decision maker and have the ability to challenge the status quo
