IUC/111 Welfare Advisor

An Opportunity Within our Wakefield Call Centre

As an Integrated Urgent Care (IUC) Welfare Advisor you will assess and support people with wellbeing/welfare issues impacting on their positive attendance at work.

You will have supervisory experience. It is desirable that you have knowledge and understanding of welfare and wellbeing issues.

You will provide an environment where staff feel supported and empowered to create strategies and coping mechanisms to improve their personal resilience. You will promote attendance at work for all staff to benefit patient care and improve service resilience.

You will work within the IUC call centres as part of the IUC Management Team. In addition to the competitive salary, we offer unsocial payments for working in the Out of Hours periods.

Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) NHS Trust geographically covers nearly 6,000 square miles of varied terrain, from isolated moors and dales to urban areas, coastline and inner cities.

You will have experience of managing the delivery of operational services and achievement of performance targets and have a proactive approach to your own development. You will have the flexibility to meet the needs of the service and will be required to work rota patterns including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

You will have the flexibility to travel across both Wakefield and Rotherham sites when necessary.
