Data Analysts

**Data Analysts (all levels) - £20k - £30k, Horsham, West Sussex**

**Hours of work: Monday to Friday 9:00 - 17:00 (37.5 hours)**

Our client are looking for Data Analysts at all levels from apprentice level (£19k) to experienced (£30k). The role are hybrid and will allow 3 days working remotely each week, 2 days on-site in Horsham.

An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join a market-leading telecommunications company, to join the growing Engineering team. You will be working alongside experienced telecommunications engineers, analysts and developers to help networks and enterprisesimprove the performance of their networks.

As a Data Analyst you will learn to use our award-winning geospatial software tools to measure, analyse and deliver network insight. You will use your data skills to develop additional analytical approaches using Python including geographic, optimization,artificial intelligence and statistical functions. You will get involved in database work using SQL as well as big data techniques. As well as analysis of what is, you will shape the future, proposing new developments and network upgrades

The successful applicant will be a natural problem solver, with an interest in understanding how things work: whether products, processes or people.

You will be expected to develop a good understanding of mobile network and fibre network technology, operation and protocols as well as an appreciation of network design and optimisation.

**Key responsibilities & Activities**:

- Working with clients to understand their needs
- Production of clear concise reports and client’s presentations
- Researching, identifying learning and implementing new techniques and methods.
- Working on high pressure consulting projects to help achieve breakthrough results for our clients
- Developing and maintaining Python software routines used for analysis and reporting work

**Essential Skills**:

- Degree-level qualification (ideally in computer science, engineering or maths)
- Fluent written & spoken English.
- Good knowledge of Python and libraries used for scientific and data analysis (only required for experienced data analyst role)
- Understanding of modern communications network technology, particularly wireless, and a keen desire to learn how modern wireless and fixed networks networks operate in more detail.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques (sampling, confidence, correlation, regression etc).
- Understanding of relational and other database systems, SQL.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Good communication presentation and interpersonal skills.

**Desirable Attributes**:

- Demonstrable achievement in current role for the more senior positions
- Knowledge or previous experience of mobile network technology and performance.
- Knowledge or previous experience of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) including software such as MapInfo, ArcGIS, QGIS, Saga etc.
- Knowledge or previous experience of reporting tools such as Business Objects, Tableau etc.
- Full UK/EU driving licence.
- UK Residency for 3 years in order to go through security clearance.
