Aviation Logistics Supervisor

OBM People have an exciting permanent opportunity for an Aviation Logistics Supervisor to join our Aviation Logistics team in Aberdeen.

**Job Purpose**:
Reporting to the UK Operations Control Centre Manager, the Aviation Logistics Supervisor will be responsible for:

- Delivering Heli Operations Services and Passenger booking services to our clients.
- Coordination and responsibility for ensuring appropriate cover for holidays, sickness absence, emergency response and support for weekend cover.
- Supervision of the aviation logistics team across all clients
- Reviewing staffing levels and shift patterns to optimise operational efficiency and costs
- Provision of support to Company Team Lead as required
- Work closely with company rep to ensure budgets are effectively managed and maintained
- Reporting and analysis of information.
- Identifying efficiency opportunities.
- Develop the service to other customers.

**Roles & Responsibilities**
- Client Relationship Management
- Build strong working relationships with key clients, particularly focusing on key stakeholders.
- People Management
- Responsible for day to day management of personnel.
- Provide direction, set goals and complete PDP with direct reports.
- Identify training plan for each member of staff.
- Approve holidays.
- Authorise overtime in advance where operationally necessary and justifiable on a cost/benefit basis.
- Ensure return to work interviews are documented.
- Create and maintain succession plans.
- Manage monthly team meeting with staff.
- Recognise both under and over performance, and address through HR process where applicable.
- Ensure staff are competent to undertake role and are fully aware of reporting lines and role responsibilities.

Operational Activities
- Manage the daily flying programme highlighting any changes. Action any changes in the ATS if these have not been actioned by offshore planner or heli administration.
- Completion of monthly flying schedules.
- Update mobilisation forms and spreadsheets incorporating any changes.
- Provide monthly KPI's for monthly utilisation and flying hours
- Liaise with offshore and planners regarding bed space and POB.
- Update Vantage daily from the outbound passenger information in ATS.
- Confirm Hotel Accommodation for core personnel.
- Request and update Vantage system with offshore certification - Offshore Survival, Medical, Well Control, MIST, DG Awareness.
- Inform OIM and Offshore Heli Admin of any person on the flight list that does not meet the requirements for travel.
- Confirm check in arrangements with offshore employees.
- Emergency response centre cover.
- On Call cover when required on a rota basis.
- Attend Vantage meetings where required.
- General administration and relief cover to the team.

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Educated to National Level 5 or equivalent
- Full UK Driving Licence
- IOSH Managing Safely

**Minimum Competencies (Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours)**
- Maintains positive work relationships.
- Previous experience in a Logistics / Aviation role, preferably at a Supervisory level.
- Computer literate with well-developed IT skills across the Microsoft suite, particularly Excel and Vantage.
- Solutions based with strong planning, organising and numerical skills, and an excellent attention to detail.
- Accustomed to working effectively in a fast-paced environment, flexible and can adapt to changing workloads and priorities, where high standards are not compromised under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and in writing.
- Ability to work standalone while a positive contributor to the wider team.

**HSSEQ**
- In partnership with the HSSEQ department, ensure the continuous improvement of safety and environmental performance and compliance to all laws, regulations and industry standards/codes.
- Reports all incidents or breaches of policy or regulations to the line manager.
- Fully endorse the ASCO ‘Stop the Job’ policy and commitment to proactive intervention where an unsafe act or condition is observed.
- Adherence to the ASCO’s integrated management system ensuring document control and improvements to key processes is maintained.
