An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Theatre Clinical Co-ordinator to lead the Operating Theatres at the Tunbridge Wells Hospital.

The Tunbridge Wells Hospital consists of 10 theatres. Theatre Service provision encompasses inpatient and day case elective surgery for orthopaedics, gynaecology, General Surgery, ophthalmic, Colorectal Surgery, Bariatric and ENT. it also covers Emergency Theatres

We are looking for an experienced Senior Nurse/ Theatre Practitioner to lead a large team of registered Theatre Practitioners and Support Workers and you will also work closely with surgical teams to deliver high quality patient care.

You should demonstrate the ability to work unsupervised, work well under pressure and be experienced in change management. A proven track record of clinical management and performance management will be required to undertake this challenging and rewarding role, previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous. A sound knowledge and delivery of KPIs, financial control and quality indicators management and looking after staff welfare is also essential.

You will be expected to work within the person specification of a Band 8a healthcare professional and attend key performance, project and change management meetings offering expert advice as required. The post holder will be expected to work cross site as necessary.

Tunbridge Wells Hospital opened in 2011 and provides single rooms with en-suites for all in-patients - the first of its kind in the country.
