**About the Stock Controller job**:
The purpose of your role will be to effectively in the areas of packaging, indirects and stock management including order processing, correct product receipt, quality assessment, and constant review of the warehouse stock levels.

You will play a key role in ensuring that the stock position is always accurate, regularly assessed and challenged with any issues communicated promptly.

**Key tasks**:

- Place Purchase Orders with suppliers, evaluating sales and forecast.
- Process all PO paperwork related to Brexit including IPAFFS and customs clearance (training given).
- Book in deliveries and communicate any issues such as shortages, overs, and date code issues.
- Management and communication of distressed stock.
- Build close relationships with suppliers to deliver optimum product availability.
- Work collaboratively with the Warehouse, Goods-In, Production, Accounts and Technical department.
- Participate in monthly stock takes.
- Maintain adequate packing stock levels.
- Coordinate samples.
- Support the Accounts team with data input to include posting customer invoices and product receipts and other monthly requirements.

**About You**:

- Ideally a background in the FMCG industry with experience of product management.
- Previous administration experience in a stock control, logistics, desptach, warehouse, supply chain or related role.
- Comfortable spending time in a chilled warehouse.
- Very effective communicator to all levels and departments and a strong team player.
- Intermediate Excel skills essential (knowledge of pivot tables, v-look ups etc.) and knowledge of Dynamics GP or equivalent is a strong advantage.
- Excellent numeracy skills, and great attention to detail.

The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, 40 hours per week.
