We are looking for someone to join our activities team to ensure that our residents are offered engaging and stimulating activities that are based around their specific needs and preferences.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assisting to plan the activities schedule
- Ensuring activities are focussed on group engagements and also on one-to-one quality time
- Ensure the emotional, social, physical, and intellectual needs of the residents are listened to and met
- Getting to know all our residents and their needs and interests
- Recording activities in each individual’s care plan
- Assisting in the management of the home's Facebook page and making positive posts about the goings on in the home daily

Preferred experience:

- Experience of a similar role in a care setting is preferred but not essential.
- Experience and training in working with vulnerable adults with dementia would also be extremely advantageous.

Character requirements:

- You must be a caring person who wants to work in an environment centred around supporting vulnerable adults
- Be an active and helpful member of the team, attend training sessions and ensure that the Care Home is a friendly and supportive working environment
- Excellent communicator
- Show an empathetic, warm and cheerful personality
- Ability to put creative ideas into practice
- Able to work independently and as part of a team

Shifts:

- 20 hours per week, flexible hours, must work alternate weekends.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: £9.50 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Weekend availability
