Cloud Architect - FinOps/ Cost Optimisation

**Salary**: up to £145,000

Location: London

Work With Aptitude are exclusively partnered with a major FTSE50 company, who are completing a Global Technology Transformation.

They require an experienced Cloud Architect to work across their subsidiaries to financial optimise their cloud spend. Working across multi-cloud vendors and helping with cost-cutting and reducing wastage, currently our client are spending over $60 millionper year on cloud.

Your first quarter in the job will be around defining policy, running an optimising program starting with their biggest subsidiary and then doing the same over time across all of their operating companies (of which there are over 1,000). They would likeyou to create the ability to recharge SAS and Cloud spend back to the operating companies and make them run as efficient as possible.

Liaising with engineering teams at a technical level, you should be able to speak about cost visualisation and design to cost. This role sits in a global central team with a central focus. This is a start-up environment and the project has not started yet

Their three main cloud vendors are GCP, Azure and AWS. They would like you to come into the office for a minimum of once every two sprints which is approx. once a month
